Making Rainbows’  is the fun part of my day.  My day job is working alongside and directing a group of talented and dedicated marriage and family therapists who deal with a great deal of tragedy and crisis in the lives of children each and every day.  While there is little “fun” to the job, this group is fun to work with.  They are special and give so much, making it a priviledge to walk with and support them.

But a girl needs her escape hatch.  Mine is making rainbows with colors and words.   It has been a fun adventure over the past several years. I have learned so much but have soooo much more to learn.  My goal is to have a published picture book (someday), but the journey is the enjoyment.  Wait a second!  Rewind and rewrite.  My true goal is just to bring a smile into someone’s day.  Being published would be fantastic, but if what I write or create brings a smile, that in and of itself  is a blessing.  Each step in the process, all the people I meet, and the pleasure in creating makes making rainbows worthwhile.buggytoo
